But the servants of Dawiḏ had stricken, of Binyamin and Aḇnĕr’s men, three hundred and sixty men who died.


And all the tribes of Yisra’ĕl came to Dawiḏ at Ḥeḇron and spoke, saying, “Look, we are your bone and your flesh.


And they buried him in his burial-site, which he had made for himself in the City of Dawiḏ. And they laid him in the bed which was filled with spices and various kinds of ointments mixed by the perfumer’s skill. And they made a very great burning for him.


And Yehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of Dawiḏ. And Yehoram his son reigned in his place.


Do you see a man who is skilled in his work? He does stand before sovereigns, He does not stand before obscure ones.


And Giḏ‛on son of Yo’ash died at a good old age, and was buried in the burial-site of Yo’ash his father, in Ophrah of the Aḇi‛ezerites.


And Sha’ul said to him, “Whose son are you, young man?” And Dawiḏ said, “The son of your servant Yishai the Bĕyth Leḥemite.”
