‘By the hand of your messengers you have reproached יהוה, and said, “With my many chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Leḇ
And Asa went out against him, and they set battle in array in the Valley of Tsephathah at Marĕ
And Asa called to יהוה his Elohim, and said, “יהוה, there is no one but You to help between the mighty and the powerless. Help us, O יהוה our Elohim, for we rest on You, and in Your Name we go against this crowd. O יהוה, You are our Elohim, do not let man prevail against You!”
for I was ashamed to ask of the sovereign a group of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the way, because we had spoken to the sovereign, saying, “The hand of our Elohim is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.”
Those who trust in יהוה Are like Mount Tsiyon – It is not shaken, it remains forever.
The sovereign is not saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a vain means of safety; Neither does it rescue any by its great power.
The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But the deliverance is of יהוה.
“I shall heal their backsliding, I shall love them spontaneously, for My displeasure has turned away from him.
Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. When I have fallen I have risen, when I sit in darkness יהוה is a light to me.
And they went out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as numerous as the sand on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots.
“So do all Your enemies perish, O יהוה! But let those who love Him be like the sun rising in its might!” And the land had rest forty years.
