I have treasured up Your word in my heart, That I might not sin against You.
I have strayed like a lost sheep; Seek Your servant, For I have not forgotten Your commands.
Make me understand, that I might observe Your Torah, And guard it with all my heart.
The cords of the wrong have surrounded me, Your Torah I have not forgotten.
but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.
My son, heed the discipline of your father, And do not forsake the Torah of your mother;
Grey hair is a crown of adorning, It is found in the way of righteousness.
Lest they drink and forget the law, And pervert the right of all the afflicted.
Let them not depart from your eyes; Guard them in the midst of your heart;

‘Respect your father and your mother, as יהוה your Elohim has commanded you, so that your days are prolonged, and so that it is well with you on the soil which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.
“Walk in all the way which יהוה your Elohim has commanded you, so that you live and it be well with you. And you shall prolong your days in the land which you possess.
“Guard to do every command which I command you today, that you might live, and shall increase, and go in, and shall possess the land of which יהוה swore to your fathers.
