And watching her, the man remained silent in order to know whether יהוה had prospered his way or not.
“And this day I came to the fountain and said, ‘יהוה, Elohim of my master Aḇ
“And I bowed my head and worshipped יהוה, and blessed יהוה, Elohim of my master Aḇ
And יהוה appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the Elohim of your father Aḇ
“And you shall take it to your father, and he shall eat it, so that he might bless you before his death.”
“I do not deserve the least of all the kind acts and all the truth which You have shown Your servant, for I passed over this Yardĕ
“O יהוה, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to fear Your Name. And let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him compassion in the presence of this man.” For I was cupbearer to the sovereign.
And the sovereign said to me, “What are you asking for?” Then I prayed to the Elohim of the heavens,
If יהוה does not build the house, Its builders have laboured in vain. If יהוה does not guard the city, The watchman has stayed awake in vain.
And Elohim said further to Mosheh, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’ĕ
Do not worry at all, but in every matter, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim.
