And he built an altar there, and called on the Name of יהוה, and he pitched his tent there, and the servants of Yitsḥ
“Sojourn in this land. And I shall be with you and bless you, for I give all these lands to you and your seed. And I shall establish the oath which I swore to Aḇ
And with the stones he built an altar in the Name of יהוה. And he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed.
and see, they are repaying us by coming in to drive us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit.
“Are You not our Elohim? You have driven out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Yisra’ĕ
And Mosheh wrote down all the Words of יהוה, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve standing columns for the twelve tribes of Yisra’ĕ
And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Come, go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Mitsrayim, to the land of which I swore to Aḇ
“And I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Kenaʽ
“The land is to be divided to these as an inheritance, according to the number of names.
‘Not one of the men who came up from Mitsrayim, from twenty years old and above, is to see the land of which I swore to Aḇ
“And He gave him no inheritance in it, not a foot of it. But He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of Elohim, but the children of the promise are reckoned as the seed.
‘See, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which יהוה swore to your fathers, to Aḇ
to love יהוה your Elohim, to obey His voice, and to cling to Him – for He is your life and the length of your days – to dwell in the land which יהוה swore to your fathers, to Aḇ
“And it shall be, when יהוה your Elohim brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Aḇ
“It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wrong of these nations that יהוה your Elohim drives them out from before you, in order to establish the word which יהוה swore to your fathers, to Aḇ
In belief all these died, not having received the promises,but seeing them from a distance, welcomed and embraced them, and confessed that they were aliens and strangers on the earth.
“Be strong and courageous, for you are to let this people inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
Then he returned to Ramah, for his home was there. And there he rightly ruled Yisra’ĕ
