He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.
To accept the person of the wicked is not good, Nor to turn aside the righteous in judgement.
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
which justify the wicked for a reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Drink no wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tent of meeting, that ye die not: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
Yea, moreover, wine is a treacherous dealer, a haughty man, and that keepeth not at home; who enlargeth his desire as hell, and he is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all peoples.
Thou shalt not wrest judgement; thou shalt not respect persons: neither shalt thou take a gift; for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
