And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a lamp alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.


For I will defend this city to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.


And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and his house.


And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the ascent of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.


His remembrance shall perish from the earth, And he shall have no name in the street.


The womb shall forget him; The worm shall feed sweetly on him; He shall be no more remembered: And unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.


Men shall clap their hands at him, And shall hiss him out of his place.


Let his posterity be cut off; In the generation following let their name be blotted out.


Let them be before the LORD continually, That he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.


For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.


The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.


The righteous cried, and the LORD heard, And delivered them out of all their troubles.


Mine enemies speak evil against me, saying, When shall he die, and his name perish?


A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, And loving favour rather than silver and gold.


And withal I saw the wicked buried, and they came to the grave; and they that had done right went away from the holy place, and were forgotten in the city: this also is vanity.


And I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son's son, saith the LORD.


O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed; they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.


And verily I say unto you, Wheresoever the gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, that also which this woman hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.


For he hath looked upon the low estate of his handmaiden: For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
