I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek out your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.
Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.
but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Hear, my child, your father’s instruction, and do not reject your mother’s teaching,
My child, if you accept my words and treasure up my commandments within you,

You must follow exactly the path that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land that you are to possess.
“The entire commandment that I command you today you must diligently observe, so that you may live and increase and go in and occupy the land that the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors.
