The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.


Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble with it.


Do not envy the wicked, nor desire to be with them,


Do not fret because of evildoers. Do not envy the wicked,


My child, fear the Lord and the king, and do not disobey either of them,


Happy is the one who is never without fear, but one who is hard-hearted will fall into calamity.
