There was once a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.


The Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning, and he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand donkeys.


But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant prosperity.


The Lord knows the days of the blameless, and their heritage will abide forever;


surely those blessed by the Lord shall inherit the land, but those cursed by him shall be cut off.


The righteous shall inherit the land and live in it forever.


Trust in the Lord and do good; live in the land and enjoy security.


For the wicked shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.


For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.


The righteous will never totter, but the wicked will not remain on the earth.


Those who mislead the upright into evil ways will fall into pits of their own making, but the blameless will have a goodly inheritance.
