And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.


Then Pilate asked Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?"And He answered and said to him, "You are saying [what is so]."


Then Pilate questioned Him again, saying, "Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!"


But Jesus no longer answered anything, so that Pilate marveled.


From this [point ]Pilate was seeking to release Him, but the Jews kept crying out, saying, "If you release this [Man], you are no friend of Caesar's. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."
