And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he should see the Lord's Christ.


he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:


For I am hard pressed by the two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, [which is] far better.


And I heard a voice out of heaven saying, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now [on,]' "Yes,"says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them."


And they cried [with] a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?"
