Cretans and Arabs-we hear them speaking in our own tongues the mighty [deeds] of God."


And suddenly a sound came out of heaven, as being borne along by a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.


And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.


to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, and to another [different] kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.


And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. Thus the tongue is set among our members, as that which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.


And I will give [power] to My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, having been clothed in sackcloth."
