1 In like manner also the chief priests mocking, said with the scribes one to another: He saved others; himself he cannot save.
And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

And they gave him wine with myrrh to drink. But he did not accept it.

8 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; and with the just let them not be written.
7 And taking the chalice, he gave thanks, and gave to them, saying: Drink ye all of this.
2 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the king of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
3 And he taketh Peter and James and John with him; and he began to fear and to be heavy.
6 But you not so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is the leader, as he that serveth.
4 And it was almost the sixth hour; and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
