“Do not offer sacred things to dogs, and do not throw your pearls in front of [wild] pigs [i.e., to those who will not appreciate them], because they will probably trample on them with their feet and then turn around and attack you.


Now a large herd of [wild] hogs [i.e., about 2000 of them. See Mark 5:13] was grazing some distance away from them.


Then the spirits begged Jesus earnestly not to send them away out of the region.


The evil spirits begged Him, saying; “Send us into those hogs, so we can enter their bodies.”
