68 Verses of Encouragement for Difficult Times

You should always nourish your spirit, whether in times of joy or sadness, strength or discouragement, so that joy endures. God's word is eternal and comforting, giving us encouragement and renewing us in times of difficulty.

In your toughest moments, trust in God's promises. "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27). Take a deep breath, look to the heavens, and worship God in the midst of your struggles.

The Holy Spirit embraces you and gives you the strength you need to overcome every obstacle. You are brave and, in Jesus' name, you are more than a conqueror. You will live to tell of the wonders of your God, who loves you and watches over you.

Prayer

Almighty God, I come before you today, surrendering my burdens and anxieties. Lift this weight from me, this heaviness in my soul. You are the one who holds me up, the one who whispers, "Don't be afraid, I'm here to help." Today, I pray for your kingdom to reign in my life and in the lives of my family. Thank you, Lord, for your word that reminds me, "You are my refuge and strength, my ever-present help in trouble." In this difficult time, I know you're watching over me. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil. Scatter the darkness, Lord, and let the light of Christ shine brightly in my life and in my home. In Jesus' name, Amen.
