The Bible is pretty clear about how important our words are. If I speak with grace and faithfulness, I open myself up to God's blessings. But if I choose unfaithfulness and negativity, well, curses and tough times might follow. My words, you know, they actually have power. They can give life or bring death.
So what I speak out into the world, if it's a blessing, it will manifest. But if it’s a curse, it doesn’t please God. I want to be a constant source of blessing, not cursing anyone, but always looking for the good, for blessings on myself and others. And I think the key to that is spending time in God's Word and really understanding my purpose here as part of Christ's body.
As children of the light, the way I speak needs to reflect God’s heart, you know? I want to be a living example of truth in everything I say. The world’s got plenty of pain, so I want to bring God's blessing to it, planting seeds of peace, harmony, order, and love wherever I go.
Deuteronomy 28:2 reminds me that all these blessings will come upon me and overtake me if I obey the Lord my God.
Naked as from the earth we came, and enter’d life at first; Naked we to the earth return, and mix with kindred dust. 2 Whate’er we fondly call our own belongs to heav’n’s great Lord; The blessings lent us for a day are soon to be restor’d. 3 ’Tis God that lifts our comforts high, or sinks them in the grave: He gives; and, when he takes away, he takes but what he gave. 4 Then, ever blessed be his name! his goodness swell’d our store; His justice but resumes its own; ’tis ours still to adore.
