He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.


For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.


Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: But righteousness delivereth from death.


By pride cometh only contention: But with the well advised is wisdom.


Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: But when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.


An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; But the end thereof shall not be blessed.


The getting of treasures by a lying tongue Is a vapour driven to and fro; they that seek them seek death.


A faithful man shall abound with blessings: But he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be unpunished.


He that hath an evil eye hasteth after riches, And knoweth not that want shall come upon him.


He that augmenteth his substance by usury and increase, Gathereth it for him that hath pity on the poor.


and those riches perish by evil adventure; and if he hath begotten a son, there is nothing in his hand.


As the partridge that gathereth young which she hath not brought forth, so is he that getteth riches, and not by right; in the midst of his days they shall leave him, and at his end he shall be a fool.
