So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.


They have prepared a net for my steps; Thy soul is bowed down: They have digged a pit before me; They are fallen into the midst thereof themselves. Selah


The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: But they that deal treacherously shall be taken in their own mischief.


Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: And he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.


Whoso heweth out stones shall be hurt therewith; and he that cleaveth wood is endangered thereby.


As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
