2 And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord according to all that his father Uzziah had done—only he did not invade the temple of the Lord. But the people still followed corrupt practices.

My flesh trembles for fear of thee, and I am afraid of thy judgments.


And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down; for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves;


Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, sons who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged.


None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high honor.
