In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man: But the righteous shall come out of trouble.


A fool's mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.


My son, if thou art become surety for thy neighbour, If thou hast stricken thy hands for a stranger,


Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, Seeing thou art come into the hand of thy neighbour; Go, humble thyself, and importune thy neighbour.


The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God:
