Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.


He leadeth priests away spoiled, And overthroweth the mighty.


How long will ye vex my soul And break me in pieces with words?


Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.


He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, And shall break in pieces the oppressor.


They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, And afflict thine heritage.


Then he shall turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and shall not be found.


And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:


And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; they shall be punished; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.


And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.
