But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will renounce thee to thy face.


: In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God with foolishness.


So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: For they saw that his grief was very great.


But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce thee to thy face.


And Job answered and said:


Let the day perish wherein I was born, And the night which said, There is a man child conceived


Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vanity; He multiplieth words without knowledge.


Because they were rebellious against his spirit, And he spake unadvisedly with his lips.


Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent on usury, neither have men lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.
