I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother.


If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary:)


But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: All they that hate me love death.


Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?


Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.


but I say unto you, Love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;


But Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.


And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots.


And the jailor being roused out of sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, drew his sword, and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.


And he called for lights, and sprang in, and, trembling for fear, fell down before Paul and Silas,


See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but alway follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all.
