And they joined battle; and there fell of the army of Lysias about five thousand men, and they fell down over against them.

Then both sides attacked each other. Five thousand men from Lysias’ army died in the fighting.

And they went forth to battle, and there fell from the army of Lysias five thousand men.

And they joined battle: and there fell of the army of Lysias five thousand men.

The battle began, and in the hand-to-hand fighting about 5,000 of Lysias' men were killed.

They joined in battle; and about five thousand men of Lysias’ army fell. They fell down near them.

The two armies moved forward, and in the battle, Lysias lost 5,000 soldiers.
