But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut.
“But take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare;

Besides this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed;
The end of all things is at hand; therefore keep sane and sober for your prayers.
Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.
