When they had finished distributing the several territories of the land as inheritances, the people of Israel gave an inheritance among them to Joshua the son of Nun.


By command of the Lord they gave him the city which he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he rebuilt the city, and settled in it.


After these things Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being a hundred and ten years old.


And they buried him in his own inheritance at Timnath-serah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, north of the mountain of Gaash.


After the death of Joshua the people of Israel inquired of the Lord, “Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”


And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of one hundred and ten years.
