“But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from thee, and of thy own have we given thee.


Your wickedness concerns a man like yourself, and your righteousness a son of man.


I say to the Lord, “Thou art my Lord; I have no good apart from thee.”


If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it.


So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’ ”
