She said, “Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother as his wife.”

And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy brother to wife.

“Let Abishag from Shunem be married to your brother Adonijah,” she said.

And she said, "Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah, your brother, as wife."

And she said: Let Abisag the Sunamitess be given to Adonias thy brother to wife.

So they sought for a beautiful maiden throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

The maiden was very beautiful; and she became the king's nurse and ministered to him; but the king knew her not.
