The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse.


The tongue of the wise dispenses knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly.


The mind of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.


Keep your heart with all vigilance; for from it flow the springs of life.


A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech,


You brood of vipers! how can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.


not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”


Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and so passes on?


And he said, “What comes out of a man is what defiles a man.


He said to him, ‘I will condemn you out of your own mouth, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?


As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Out of the wicked comes forth wickedness’; but my hand shall not be against you.
