To him, indeed, shall all who sleep in the earth bow down; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, and I shall live for him.


Because of your temple at Jerusalem, kings bear gifts to you.


May the kings of Tarshish and of the isles render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts.


O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the covert of the cliff, let me see your face; let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.


Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the fields and lodge in the villages;


Kings shall be your foster fathers and their queens your nursing mothers. With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.


Nations shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn.


On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
