My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.


Keep my steps steady according to your promise, and never let iniquity have dominion over me.


He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.


The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.


You gave me a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.


I pursued my enemies and overtook them and did not turn back until they were consumed.


For I pray, “Only do not let them rejoice over me, those who boast against me when my foot slips.”


Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from your way,


When I thought, “My foot is slipping,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.


I know, O Lord, that the way of humans is not in their control, that mortals as they walk cannot direct their steps.


He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked will perish in darkness, for not by might does one prevail.
