Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.
The Lord protects them and keeps them alive; they are called happy in the land. You do not give them up to the will of their enemies.
But you, O God, will cast them down into the lowest pit; the bloodthirsty and treacherous shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in you.
On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
I, the Lord, am its keeper; every moment I water it. I guard it night and day so that no one can harm it;
who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked will perish in darkness, for not by might does one prevail.
