Proverbs 20:19
9 Krydshenvisninger

One who secretly slanders a neighbor I will destroy. A haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not tolerate.

A gossip goes about telling secrets, but one who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a confidence.

Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives; those who open wide their lips come to ruin.

The violent entice their neighbors and lead them in a way that is not good.

The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body.

My child, fear the Lord and the king, and do not disobey either of them,

You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand idly by when the blood of your neighbor is at stake: I am the Lord.

For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.
