You may eat it in any place, you and your households, for it is your payment for your service in the tent of meeting.

In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”


He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey: no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money—not even an extra tunic.


When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments.


Then he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the wadi and put them in his shepherd’s bag, in the pouch; his sling was in his hand, and he drew near to the Philistine.


Then Saul replied to the young man, “But if we go, what can we bring the man? For the bread in our sacks is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What have we?”
