They were all amazed, and they kept on asking one another, “What is this? A new teaching—with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.”


And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”


Taking her by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, get up!”


He strictly ordered them that no one should know this and told them to give her something to eat.


Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded,


They were astounded beyond measure, saying, “He has done everything well; he even makes the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”
