Many women were also there, looking on from a distance; they had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him.


Now Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told him about her at once.


That evening, at sunset, they brought to him all who were sick or possessed by demons.

Taking her by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, get up!”
