The angel of the Lord said to Manoah, “Let the woman give heed to all that I said to her.

And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

And the Angel of the Lord said to Manoah, Let the mother beware of all that I told her.

And the angel of Jehovah said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

The LORD’s messenger answered Manoah, “The woman should be careful to do everything that I told her.

And the Angel of the Lord said to Manoah: "Concerning all the things about which I have spoken to your wife, she herself should abstain.

And the angel of the Lord said to Manue: From all the things I have spoken of to thy wife, let her refrain herself.

There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed.

Manoah got up and followed his wife and came to the man and said to him, “Are you the man who spoke to this woman?” And he said, “I am.”

Then Manoah said, “Now when your words come true, what is to be the boy’s rule of life; what is he to do?”

Now be careful not to drink wine or strong drink or to eat anything unclean,
