for they loved human glory more than the glory that comes from God.


Not that I accept such human testimony, but I say these things so that you may be saved.


Yet you refuse to come to me to have life.


But I know that you do not have the love of God in you.


How can you believe when you accept glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the one who alone is God?


When Jesus realized that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.


Those who speak on their own seek their own glory, but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and there is nothing unjust in him.


Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge.


Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, he of whom you say, ‘He is our God,’


nor did we seek praise from mortals, whether from you or from others,


For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in his steps.


For he received honor and glory from God the Father when that voice was conveyed to him by the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, my Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
