Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
“Everyone, therefore, who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven,
and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple—truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
And you will be blessed because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,
He considered abuse suffered for the Christ to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to the reward.
For if the message declared through angels proved valid, and every transgression or disobedience received a just penalty,
For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.
Christ, however, was faithful over God’s house as a son, and we are his house if we hold firm the boldness and the pride inspired by hope.
Since, then, we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.
Be on your guard, so that you do not lose what we have worked for but may receive a full reward.
