“And you, O mortal, take a sharp sword; use it as a barber’s razor and run it over your head and your beard; then take balances for weighing, and divide the hair.


“All the days of their nazirite vow no razor shall come upon the head; until the time is completed for which they separate themselves to the Lord, they shall be holy; they shall let the locks of the head grow long.


Does not nature itself teach you that, if a man wears long hair, it is dishonoring to him,


“You are children of the Lord your God. You must not lacerate yourselves or shave your forelocks for the dead.
