So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab. The famine was severe in Samaria.
I will break your proud glory, and I will make your sky like iron and your earth like copper.
And I also withheld the rain from you when there were still three months to the harvest; I would send rain on one city and send no rain on another city; one field would be rained upon, and the field on which it did not rain withered;
Therefore the heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce.
The Lord will afflict you with consumption, fever, inflammation, with fiery heat and drought, and with blight and mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.
The Lord will change the rain of your land into powder, and only dust shall come down upon you from the sky until you are destroyed.
