For what is the hope of the godless when God cuts them off, when God takes away their lives?


Will God hear their cry when trouble comes upon them?


If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.


When he killed them, they searched for him; they repented and sought God earnestly.


and because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof,


Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me.


Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.


We know that God does not listen to sinners, but he does listen to one who worships him and obeys his will.


You know that later, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, even though he sought the blessing with tears.
