And Ab´salom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahith´ophel with him.


Show thy marvelous loving-kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.


And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.


Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.


And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
