He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.
It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people.
Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
