Such a death it happened that wicked man to die, not having so much as burial in the earth; and that most justly:

In this manner the lawless Menelaus died. He didn’t receive a proper burial.

And by such a law, it turned out that the betrayer of the law, Menelaus, died, not having so much as a burial in the earth.

And by such a law it happened that Menelaus the transgressor of the law was put to death: not having so much as burial in the earth.

Menelaus was put to death in that way, without even having the privilege of a burial,

By such a fate it happened that the breaker of the law, Menelaus, died, without obtaining so much as a grave in the earth, and that justly;

So that was how the lawbreaker Menelaus died—and without even a proper burial afterwards.
