For you sympathized with me when I was in prison, and you accepted the plundering of your possessions with joy, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and lasting possession in heaven.


Remember those in prison, as though you were in prison with them. Also remember those who are mistreated, as though you yourselves were suffering with them.


Pure and undefiled religion before God our Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
