When Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself. But the crowds heard about it and followed him on foot from the towns.


For he had healed many, so that all who had afflictions were pressing toward him to touch him.

So he could do no miracle there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them.
