But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Repay me what yoʋ owe.’


After agreeing with the workers that they would each receive a denarius for the day, he sent them into his vineyard.


Sell your possessions and give to the needy. Make yourselves moneybags that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.


When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing yoʋ still lack: Sell everything yoʋ have and distribute the money to the poor, and yoʋ will have treasure in heaven; then come follow me.”


Why do yoʋ see the speck in yoʋr brother's eye, but do not consider the beam in yoʋr own eye?


Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who was about to betray him, said,


(He said this not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he was the keeper of the moneybag and would pilfer what was put into it.)


Some were thinking, since Judas had the moneybag, that Jesus was saying to him, “Buy what we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.)


Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be sufficient for each of them to receive a little portion.”
