For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.


Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the true form of those things, the same sacrifices that they continually offer year after year can never perfect those who draw near to worship.


They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to build the tabernacle, he was warned by God, “See to it that yoʋ make everything according to the pattern that was shown to yoʋ on the mountain.”


This is a symbol for the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper,
